Kartik’s first entrepreneurial venture was a pre-clinical stage company that investigated early intervention therapies for chronic metabolic disorders like lipid imbalances, diabetes and obesity. He was previously at Bear, Stearns & Co. in its investment banking group and subsequently moved to Conning Capital Partners, a financial services and technology focused venture capital firm based in Hartford, Connecticut. After Conning Capital, Kartik was a Managing Director at Madison Park Group, a technology focused New York City-based investment bank and was a Senior Advisor to Wood Creek Capital, where he helped business development efforts and specialized on the pharmaceutical sector. Kartik heads the fund’s investor relations and marketing activities.
Kartik has a BS in Biology from BITS, an MS in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Connecticut, and an MBA in Finance from Yale University. Kartik enjoys all the time he gets to spend with his friends and family. He participates enthusiastically in tennis, golf and road biking.
